Our Mission
At Lumiere PDX, our mission is to provide high-quality science-based weight-loss services to our patients in the states of Oregon and Washington. We strive to make our patients feel comfortable, cared for, and listened to during every visit. Our clinicians are experienced in the treatment of obesity both personally and professionally.
Our History
Lumiere PDX was founded by a clinician who understands the ups and downs of weight loss and the toxic diet culture. We strive to encompass compassion and evidence based science with the art of medicine to assist patients with uncovering the body in which they are most comfortable.
Our Services
We offer weight loss medications (GLP-1) to patients in the Oregon and Washington state region who medically qualify. Our goal is to offer these medications at a price that is as low as possible, to assist with accessibility to these life-saving medications.

Our Medical Director
Carrie Lynn Binder, DNP is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with over 20 years’ experience in nursing and over 7 years of experience as a nurse practitioner in primary care and urgent care. She specializes in providing comprehensive, compassionate, and holistic care to her patients utilized a team-based approach. Her goal for this practice is to empower patients to achieve their health goals, with a particular emphasis on weight loss management and wellness promotion.
Drawing on years of experience in evidence-based care, Dr. Binder strives to create personalized, sustainable plans to help patients lead healthier lives. Her approach integrates education to support lasting lifestyle changes.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Binder is passionate about educating future healthcare professionals, having taught at both undergraduate and graduate levels and lectured for various organizations locally and nationally. Her mission is to blend clinical excellence with patient-centered care to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of the community.
